Illinois Fighting Illini head coach Brad Underwood received his fourth commitment from the class of 2020 Thursday morning.
The Illini received a verbal commitment from in-state seven-foot center Brandon Lieb via Twitter (@brandonlieb12).
Lieb averaged 13.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks during his senior season at Deerfield High School.
The Illinois native began receiving offers from other Power-5 schools after the Illini offered him late in his recruitment. Â
Illinois was able to win Lieb over schools such as Depaul, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Utah.
Lieb’s commitment adds depth to the center position, as Freshman big man Kofi Cockburn’s future still remains undecided.
